Roosters- We have our beautiful Black Copper Maran rooster for sale for $10.00. We need to cut our numbers in the rooster house, so we are forced to sell our big beauty. He is a very friendly bird and has a great personality. I find that he will fit perfectly in a pet flock as he would be great with kids, but don't let that fool you! He is PHENOMINAL breeding rooster too. He does not have the right color for a rooster of his breed, instead he has the color of a hen of this breed. He has really nice type that passed to his offspring and his offspring seem to all have good color. Therefore, he would be very nice in a breeding program. He is $10.00.
We also have a Rhode Island Red Rooster for sale for $5.00. He just came to the farm a couple of days ago because the owner couldn't keep him. I do not know which hatchery he was born in so he is being priced as a cull bird.
We also have 5 Buff Brahma roosters, my favorite breed, coming today as the owner could not keep them. They are 10 weeks of age and will be priced at $5.00 ea. These will be sold as young breeding birds as I see a lot of potential in a few of them. I am considering keeping 2 or 3

Bucks: I had purchased this Nigerian Dwarf buck
in early August to breed to my does & all the work is done, so he is offered
for sale. He is truly a sweet, polite, and relaxed buck. Never had any bad
attitudes or got rough with me or any of the other goats. We traveled up to NH
to get him, but it was worth the travel. I thought that I should keep him and
try to get him to a MCH, but unfortunately we got him with an over extended
knee. I still believe he would place high in his classes, but not number one because of his injury. I have now gotten him in good condition(not to chubby and not to skinny) and have been loading him up with all sorts of stuff to make him more comfortable. It doesn't seem to bother him really(more me than him, i think ).ADGA & AGS registered$500.00, or $400.00 if you let me use him for some of my does next kidding season. I am in no hurry to sell him...he will be going to as many shows as I can find until he is sold.
Here is a description of him from my website:He is a proven buck who has gone to many herds making his mark and I am truly
thrilled to have him here. He has great conformation that seemed to have passed
to his offspring and has really good milk production in his superb lines. He
comes from the wonderful Old Mountain Farm herd and his lines are some their
best strains to offer. They are known for their wonderful production with
numerous awards along with exceling in the show ring time after time. This boy
has a perfectly LEVEL topline. He has really nice length with wonderful depth of
body. He has a really nice barrel with ideal ribbing. Jete' has good width of
body and angularity. He also has a long rump with good width. Overall, he
combines perfect dairy character with the perfect amount of masculinity, a
His dam, 2*M Old Mountain Farm Ballerina
2*D'E'AR, is a truly wonderful representive of a dairy goat. In 2007 she
recieved a final score of 90.6 Excellent in her AGS linear appraisal.
She never gave birth to less than 3 kids, showing wonderful body capacity. Jete'
is the littermate brother to the 2008 AGS National Junior Champion Buck! His
sire's dam is 1*M Old Mountain Farm McDermott*D 'VG' AR 1899 who is "long in the
body, has great width and depth of body, a nice head and a smooth short
haircoat. She also has a pleasantly shaped udder with nice sized plumb teats"!
McDermott is so nice that "in a July 2003 show of 29 senior does (with only 4 of
those does being dry) the judge was so impressed with her that he placed her
Reserve Grand Champion of the show while dry!" This buck has the best genetics
